Topps Collaborates with NCAA for March Madness Card Series

Topps has teamed up with the NCAA to create an exclusive March Madness basketball card series that has collectors buzzing with excitement. Priced at $139.99 each, the packs contain eight cards, with a guaranteed autograph card from a selection of standout players.

One of the marquee names in the collection is Zach Edey, Purdue’s men’s Player of the Year, while Caitlin Clark, the women’s Player of the Year, also graces the lineup. Each pack not only includes the coveted autographed card but also features six base cards and one parallel card, with limited numbering that makes them even more special. Fans have until Thursday to grab these packs from Topps’ official website, with a chance to find dual autograph cards in one out of every ten packs.

The collection spotlights a select group of 20 athletes who have agreed to be featured, capturing the essence of college basketball. On the men’s side, names like Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham from Kentucky, Tristen Newton and Stephon Castle from UConn, and other rising stars like Zach Edey and Kyle Filipowski are included. For the women’s lineup, stars such as Cameron Brink from Stanford, Georgia Amoore from Virginia Tech, and the dynamic duo of Angel Reese and Mikaylah Williams from LSU add depth to the collection.

Dual autographs in the series only add to the excitement, with pairings like Clark/Edey, Reese/Van Lith, and Sheppard/Dillingham catching the attention of collectors. However, the inclusion of Caitlin Clark will come to an end on April 1, as she has an exclusive agreement with Panini America for trading cards. This collaboration with the NCAA not only showcases the iconic March Madness logo but also hints at possible future joint ventures between Topps and college sports.

In a season where over 120 Bowman U cards have already been released through the Topps NOW platform, the addition of college basketball talents has been a major draw for fans. Caitlin Clark’s presence on 13 different cards underscores her popularity, while other college players have also been featured over the past two years in the Bowman University line. This partnership between Topps and the NCAA not only celebrates the excitement of March Madness but also creates a unique connection between collectors and the world of college sports.
