Leaf Trading Cards has sparked excitement among baseball card collectors with the announcement of two highly anticipated upcoming releases. Leaf Metal, set to debut on October 25, promises a treasure trove of prospect autographs and exclusive inserts. Meanwhile, Leaf Press Pass Premium, scheduled to launch on November 8, offers premium boxes filled with autographs and high-quality cards.
Leaf Metal is geared up to hit the shelves this Friday, offering Hobby and Jumbo Box formats for collectors to enjoy. The Hobby Box boasts seven cards, including four autographs, two base/parallel cards, and an exclusive “mojo auto.” On the other hand, the Jumbo Box packs a punch with 14 cards, including eight autographs, four base/parallel cards, a “pulsar auto” exclusive, and a “slabbed auto proof.” All autographs and base parallel cards in this set are limited to 35 or fewer copies.
A notable card to watch out for is the triple autograph featuring the top three picks of the 2024 MLB Draft: Travis Bazzana, Charlie Condon, and Chase Burns. The collection also showcases autographs from standout 2024 draftees like Nick Kurtz, Hagen Smith, and Konnor Griffin. Keeping the excitement high, Baseball America’s top-ranked prospect, Roman Anthony, makes an appearance alongside other promising talents such as Chase Dollander, Dylan Crews, and Coby Mayo. The set also includes cards for potential future draftees like Ethan Holliday, and recent grads like Paul Skenes, Elly De La Cruz, and James Wood.
Leaf Press Pass Premium takes the stage on November 8, offering collectors a premium experience with boxes containing six base cards and parallels, along with five autographs. Collectors can anticipate an added thrill as one autograph per box will be numbered to 25 or less, adding an element of exclusivity to each pull. The series features a 100-card base set and a 100-card retro base set, each with eight parallels numbered to 35 or fewer.
This release highlights autographs from 2024 draft prospects and potential future stars like Bazzana, Condon, Kurtz, Smith, Burns, and Holliday. Veteran baseball icons including Mookie Betts, Ichiro, and Nolan Ryan also make an appearance, adding depth and variety to the collection. Autographs in the base set are numbered to 199 or fewer, while retro base autographs are even more exclusive, capped at 49 or fewer. The set also features a unique “Press Box Signatures” insert, showcasing legendary figures like John Smoltz, Jim Rome, and Vin Scully.
Both Leaf Metal and Leaf Press Pass Premium will be available for purchase on Leaf’s website and through major card retailers. With an impressive lineup of talent ranging from budding rookies to established veterans, these sets promise to be a coveted addition to any baseball card collection, offering collectors a chance to own unique autographs and exclusive inserts that showcase the future stars of the MLB.
